Ongoing projects

INCLUSION IS OUR BUSINESS IS A FIVE-YEAR PROJECT; 2022 to 2026 implemented by YoWDO in Partnership with Light for the world Tanzania. the project aims at empowering 2000 youth with disabilities with economic empowerment through facilitating access to waged and self-employment in the three regions: Dodoma, Dar es salaam and Morogoro.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROJECT.
in Partnership With sight Savers Tanzania, YoWDO is implementing the two-year project aiming at economically empower the youth with disabilities in the Dar es salaam and Singida region through facilitating a linkage with employers, self-employment and support the development of the value chain for persons with disabilities in agriculture. THE VIJANA TUAMKE NA MKOPO. The project was supported by the Foundation for the Civil Society aiming at transforming the life of young male and female with disabilities in Dar es salaam through conducting training on self-awareness, business idea generation and facilitate linking with the access to the 2% noninterest from the local government authorities as well as provide linkage with the employers. The project has developed the YoWDO Connect Portal that facilitates the linkage among youth with disabilities and the employers.

YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES IN RESILIENCE. The project was successful implemented by conducting training 8 youth with disabilities on understanding of the environmental and climate resilience and mitigation measures and disaster risk reduction and guided the youth with co creating the environmental income generating activities. 3 organization were trained on disability inclusion and inclusive humanitarian and disaster response mechanism.
