At YoWDO, our programs are shaped by real experience from working directly with youth with disabilities across Tanzania. We have seen where the gaps exist, from limited access to digital skills, to lack of exposure to opportunities, and systems that expect readiness without proper support. These realities guide how we design our work.
Our programs respond to these challenges in a practical way. We focus on building skills, creating opportunities, and supporting young people to move from learning into employment or self-employment. At the same time, we work with schools, employers, and communities to make inclusion possible in everyday life. Together, these programs aim to ensure that youth with disabilities are not left behind, but are prepared and supported to take part in the economy and society with confidence.

Digital Skills and Future Work Readiness
This program prepares youth with disabilities for a digital world that often excludes them. It focuses on building practical digital skills, from basic computer use to navigating online systems, job applications, and digital communication.
Through experience from programs like RISEE, we learned that many young people encounter digital tools too late. This program shifts that by introducing digital skills earlier, especially in schools and training institutions, and creating spaces where youth can practice and grow their confidence.
It also opens pathways to entrepreneurship, where young people can use digital platforms for marketing, content creation, and online businesses.

Employment and Career Transition Support
This program supports youth with disabilities to move from learning into real employment. It focuses on employability skills, job readiness, and direct linkage to opportunities such as internships, apprenticeships, and jobs.
It also introduces a stronger mentorship model by engaging professionals, especially HR experts, to guide youth in job searching, interview preparation, and workplace expectations.
The goal is not just getting jobs, but ensuring young people are able to sustain employment and grow in their careers.

Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment
This program supports youth with disabilities to create their own income through business and self-employment. It provides training in business skills, financial literacy, and market understanding, while also connecting youth to financial services and opportunities.
Many young people with disabilities are excluded from formal employment, so entrepreneurship becomes a key pathway. This program helps them build sustainable businesses, including digital-based businesses such as online services and content creation.
It focuses on turning skills into income and reducing poverty among youth with disabilities.

Advocacy, Rights, and Social Inclusion
This program addresses the barriers beyond skills, including stigma, discrimination, and lack of awareness. It works to strengthen the voice, confidence, and participation of youth with disabilities in society.
It includes awareness campaigns, leadership development, civic engagement, and advocacy for inclusive policies and systems. It also addresses key issues such as gender-based violence and access to services.
The aim is to create an environment where youth with disabilities are not only skilled, but also respected, included, and given equal opportunities.
